As a school our Christian values of kindness, caring, forgiveness, compassion and co-operation support the spiritual and moral development of our children and wider community as we grow and learn together, in a happy, safe and secure environment.

Children, staff, governors and parents have high expectations of each other and themselves. We feel a sense of worth and of contributing towards something special. Alongside our RE curriculum children also have the opportunity to visit our local church on a regular basis and Rev. Robertshaw comes into school to celebrate other events on the church calendar.

Parents have the right to choose whether to withdraw their child from; RE without influence from the school; at our school we ensure parents and carers are informed of this right. Where parents have requested that their child be withdrawn, their right must be respected. If pupils are withdrawn from RE, schools have a duty to supervise them, though not to provide additional teaching or to incur extra cost.
